It was a disappointing year for the Chicago White Sox.

After an AL Central title in 2021, the team could not replicate that success in 2022, finishing 11 games back of the Cleveland Guardians in the division with a .500 record.

Manager Tony La Russa also stepped down.

But the White Sox are looking to rebound in 2023.

The team could use some more power from the left side of the plate.

On Twitter, one fan gave free agent slugger Joey Gallo his full endorsement, citing that the White Sox are in need of three important things, those being left-handed power, better outfield defense, and somebody who frequently gets on base.

How Gallo Fits With The White Sox

Gallo obviously went on a steep decline with the New York Yankees.

After several great seasons with the Texas Rangers, Gallo’s production began to dip.

The 29-year-old finished the 2021 season with a .199 batting average.

The slugger also wasn’t any better in 2022, hitting .160 with the Yankees and later the Los Angeles Dodgers.

However, he isn’t far removed from a 38-home run season.

That is something that could draw a team like the White Sox to the two-time All-Star.

His defense is also solid.

The veteran outfielder is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner.

While batting average his never been a strong suit for Gallo, with his best season coming in 2019, when he hit .253, his power is what makes him an attractive option for any team looking to add a left-handed bat.

He also would come relatively cheap after a down season.
