Warriors Guard Sits Among The Franchise’s Best

 

During the summer, Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors got a massive pay extension from his team, keeping him in the Bay Area for a few more years and raising his star status even higher.

The extension was well earned, as Poole averaged 18.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4 assists a game in 2021-22.

Poole hasn’t slowed down on bit in the new season and has in fact become even more crucial to the team.

On Saturday night, Poole scored 20 points in a big win against the Boston Celtics.

By doing so, he became the 5th youngest player in franchise history to reach 3,000 career points.

That’s a major milestone for Poole and proof that he’s now one of the hottest, best players on this championship team.

In 2022-23, Poole is averaging 17.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists with a field goal percentage of 43%.

He has started in 8 of the Warriors’ 27 games so far this season.

True, the Warriors are still in a tough spot and sit as the 8th team in the West but Poole has remained pretty consistent through the young season.

The promising player has been through a lot recently with both good (his contract extension) and bad (the whole Draymond Green situation).

He has earned his spot among the greats like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and he isn’t going to miss his shot to prove himself.

While Poole is signed to the Warriors for a few more years, there is already some talk about what he will do after his time with Golden State.

With the numbers he is putting up now, he could lead his own team in the future.
