The Ravens Are Hoping To Continue A Great Trend This Weekend

Games against your divisional rivals are games that every team has to win to keep their season alive.

This weekend, the Baltimore Ravens face their AFC North divisional rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Going into the game, the Ravens are in a good position to make the playoffs again this year, while the Steelers are currently in last place in the division.

As well as a win on the line for the Ravens, Baltimore is looking to continue a unique streak against the Steelers.

The Ravens have won 10 of last 11 games against the Steelers when anyone other than Ben Roethlisberger has started at QB for Pittsburgh, per @ESPNStatsInfo.

No Big Ben Means A Win

While the Steelers have been victorious in the last four meetings against the Ravens, they have had the now-retired Ben Roethlisberger as their quarterback for these games.

During the offseason, Roethlisberger became the final member of the quarterback class of 2004, which also had the likes of Eli Manning and Philip Rivers, to retire.

This has put rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett in the role as starting quarterback for the Steelers.

This appears to be good news for the Ravens.

In the last 11 games played between these two teams where the Steelers were not led by Roethlisberger, the Ravens have won 10 of those games.

With Big Ben retired and Pickett as the starter for an average Pittsburgh side, the Ravens should win this game to not only continue this streak but to put them one step closer to the playoffs.

Victory may not be that easy, however, as Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson may still be out of the game with the knee injury he sustained last week.
