The Memphis Grizzlies faced a tough loss on Monday night as they were defeated by the Boston Celtics 109-103.

As you can imagine, emotions were running high for both teams as they attempted to outdo one another.

The two crews are evenly matched (Boston has a 7-3 record and Memphis has a 7-4) and they were showing that again and again all night.

Things got so heated that Grizzlies star Desmond Bane kicked the ball into the stands in a brief moment of frustration.

And now he’s paying for that.

The NBA announced that Bane has been fined $15,000 for kicking the ball at spectators.

Bane will gladly pay the fine and move forward from the incident and he has plenty to be happy about because he’s having an incredible season.

Big Season For Bane

Bane put up 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists on Monday night.

It was just the latest impressive showing from the guard.

So far this season, he is averaging 24.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.

That is a major step up from last year, when he scored 18.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists a game.

The Grizzlies have been surging over the last couple of seasons and Bane is a big part of that.

Many people assume that the team succeeds or fails solely on the power of Ja Morant.

And while that possible MVP winner is a major force behind the team’s victories, there is more to the squad than just him.

Bane is both an offensive and defensive beast and he has improved greatly over the summer.

He and his team got a taste of the postseason last year but things didn’t end the way they wanted.

It is clear from his drive and his intensity that Bane wants to help his team go all the way this year.
