A Former Kings Star Is Ready To Return

It’s been some time since DeMarcus Cousins was considered one of the best big men in the NBA.
The center has played for a slew of teams during his 11 years playing professional ball, including the New Orleans Pelicans, the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and more.
But there is one team that he still holds near and dear to his heart: the Sacramento Kings.
Cousins got his start with the Kings back in 2010, where he would eventually average as high as 27.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.

Since then, he has slowly faded from prominence in the league but he is ready to suit back up for the team that made him.
Cousins recently said, “I would love to help Sacramento get back to the playoffs.”
While his enthusiasm is great, is there any real chance of Cousins coming back to Sac-Town?
Cousins Coming Back?
Cousins coming back to the Kings doesn’t seem likely.
It’s not just because the team is already filled with a busy and young roster, it’s also because Cousin’s output on the court isn’t what it used to be.
During his last season with the Nuggets, Cousins was putting up 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
After that, he became a free agent and currently doesn’t have a place in the NBA.
Cousins is willing and ready to get back into the association but teams aren’t knocking at his door and offering him a contract – at least not yet.
While Cousins could be a helpful bench player for a number of teams, it doesn’t look like he will get the chance.
Cousins might not ever play another game for the Kings – or any NBA team.
