The Chicago Bears 2022 season has been pretty disappointing for fans.

While the season won’t see the team making the playoffs, it has at least seen two players exceeding expectations this season.

With the season being a wash, which two players have shined the brightest in the dark days in Chicago?

1. Justin Fields

While quarterback Justin Fields started 2022 off slow, he’s finding his groove.

With the Bears making some adjustments, Fields has seen some better numbers as a passer and rusher.

The team’s new scheme has him looking like Lamar Jackson, as he ranks seventh in the NFL in rushing yards.

With 95 more yards, he can hit the history books as yet another quarterback to have 1,000 rushing yards in a season.

While other areas are slowly improving, his legs are helping the Bears score touchdowns.

2. Jaquan Brisker

The Bears defense has seen a complete overall, with several veteran defensive players leaving the team.

However, rookie safety Jaquan Brisker has been a shining light with an otherwise grim Bears defense.

His 73 combined tackles, three sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble show how he’s a force on the defense.

While other players aren’t living up to their potential, Brisker gives the Bears defense some hope.

With him, the team has finally found their replacement for Adrian Amos.

However, his journey hasn’t been easy, as he started 2022 with a broken right thumb.

While he had surgery to get game-ready by the start of the NFL regular season, it wasn’t easy.

But his determination has paid off, not only for himself, but for the Bears as well this season.
